“Boost your Immunity”, “Protect your Immune System”, “Stay healthy and strong”…there are so many slogans advertising for a healthy Immune System with all sorts of products. But before you know if you actually need those products we have to know “What is the Immune System” and how does it work. The modern world has made people forget about trusting in our bodies, its power of self-healing and how the mechanism work. Good food, enough sleep and movement in nature is the booster, protection and medication that a human body needs in order to be healthy.
The human body is constructed to keep us alive and healthy. For this, the whole body system works 24/7 in sync with hormones, blood cells, nerves, metabolism etc. However the modern lifestyle has caused a lot of imbalances and pressure on our body and requires them to re-balance everything. The causes are e.g. fast food, overeating, diets, no sleep, not moving enough, stress, medications. The daily demand on our body is enormous. But we take it for granted. We do not care enough until we feel pain or get sick. And that’s when our body is talking to us: “Enough!” For our body to function and be healthy, it takes our support. We need to work with our body, not against it. We only have one body, one heart, one health. So, take good care of it before it’s too late.
TREAT YOUR BODY AS YOUR TEMPLE
Health is Essence, Essence is health: Back to the basics
Let’s start by blocking all the external noise of this commercial world we’re living in. Start getting aware of your body. Simply think back in history. How did humans used to live in old age? What are the basic needs that the human body truly needs? How does the human body actually function?
No doubt, our surroundings, technology, living conditions etc. have strongly changed and developed over time. This also influences our beliefs in health. However, the human body didn’t change this much. The fundamental functions, needs and purpose of a female and male body are overall still the same. It’s about living, surviving and reproduction.
But the change of livings had a big impact and ultimately the loss of knowledge over the power that the human body has. Fast food, sugary foods and drinks, pills, transportations etc. are the proven reason for most illnesses in modern society. Pretty logical, when you think of it. Our skeleton is made up of muscles and joints. If you stop moving your body, the muscles will get weak and the joints stiff. From my own experience this happens very quickly. This will automatically affect the nerves, organs, hormones, metabolism and mental health. The inside of your body will always reflect on your outside. So, the healthier the body is on the inside, the healthier you look on the outside. And vice versa. The body adjusts and transforms accordingly from the inside out and this will be seen on the skin, hair, nails etc.
Our ancestors found medical treatments and nutrition within our nature. A lot of people living in the “non-commercial” world still have this knowledge about the power of nature and how to use it for our health.
The Immune System: What is it and how does it work?
Believe it or not, our immune system is one of the most important components of our bodies and a complex defense mechanism. But yet, no one really talks about its natural power and how it functions.
The Immune System is a remarkable network of cells and organs that work together to protect us from illness and diseases. It functions by recognizing, identifying and eliminating foreign molecules that may cause harm, such as bacteria, viruses and even cancer cells. It helps repair damaged tissues and destroy parasites and microbes. The main player in the complex network of the immune system are the white blood cells. They do the work of fighting infection or eliminating invading bacteria or viruses. Another crucial part is the lymphatic system. This is a collection of specialized vessels that drain bodily fluids away from your tissues.
Another big player that defines our immune system is our metabolism.
Without our immune system we would be vulnerable to a wide range of infections and diseases which could eventually lead to death. But you might think “why do I still get sick”? Well, first of all we need a strong immune system to prevent us from getting sick. So, prevention is the key word. Through my researches I found this site that can give you more information about the reasons why you might get sick more easily than others.
Understanding The Different Types of Immunity & Their Effects on Human Health
Natural Immunity is our body’s defense mechanism against infectious agents. It includes both acquired and innate immunity, which work together to protect us from disease. If it were not for the natural immunities that our bodies have, we would be far more susceptible to illness and disease.
Acquired immunity is developed through exposure to an antigen, while innate immunity is present from birth and does not require an external trigger.
What is Immunity?
We are born with a first line of defense against many of the dangers that exist: our immune system. If we had no immune system, then we would be at risk for many different types of serious diseases or death. Natural immunity is an umbrella term that describes when an individual has built up a resistance through exposure to an agent (typically a virus or bacteria) so that the agent cannot cause disease. The epidemiological definition of immunity is when an individual has been exposed to a pathogen an has acquired natural immunity. The person can then theoretically pass on this resistance to other individuals through their genes, making it more likely they will not be susceptible to infection in the future. Logically it is crucial that a natural immunity is built already in childhood by just…recovering from being sick.
HEALING THE CAUSE TAKES REST, HEALING THE SYMPTOMS TAKES MEDICATION. WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE?
In contrast, vaccine-induced immunity is the acquisition of temporary protection against infectious agents through vaccination with prophylactic sera (anima vaccines) or toxoids (human vaccines). This type of vaccine-induced immunity only provides protection for a limited amount of time after immunization and mostly does not last a lifetime. Worth mentioning: normally before a vaccine is allowed to hit the market, it must be tested for at least five years in order to define the side effects.
Conclusion
All these natural things may seem “too simple to be work”. But in reality those are the most powerful actions to take in order to strengthen the immune system, body and mind. Those are the factors that contribute to be truly healthy, prevent illness and support the self-healing processes e.g. healing the wound and bones after a surgery. But certainly a healthy human is not really profitable.
Superfoods, pills, medications, drinks, diets…there are a lot of promises that should make us healthy. The market is overflowing. But if you know if you listen to your body and knowing how it works, do you still need to “buy health” or could these things be more a very profitable marketing strategy?
Imagine people would be healthy, knowing their own bodies and how to boost the immune system naturally…the food and pharma industry would probably no longer be needed in that capacity like today…$$$
